I don't have DeNoise AI, but I do have DxO with Prime. He also thought LR's luminance NR was less effective than DeNoise AI. He recommended that DeNoise AI be applied to the unsharpened file before moving it from LR to SAI. But after watching the Joel Wolfson YT video, I emailed him for clarification about when to apply noise reduction if the file starts in LR and is edited in Sharpen AI.

The program (version 2.04) had previously sometimes produced significant artifacts.

I believe those versions referenced below are for the PC, not the Mac version.Ī slight update to my experience with Sharpen AI.

Both Sharpen (now 2.5) and DeNoise (2.1.2) had recent updates. I did nothing today from how I set it up yesterday. I just tried it after I put this post up, now it works as a plugin. I messed with this program for 3 hours yesterday, I could not get it to work. It was like haveing a virus on the computer. Oh yeah, how about giving me a way to turn off the auto update app?Įvery time I opened a photo in the plugin, I'd get a notice to update. It just locks up, the little spinning dots don't even turn. I updated my Topaz DeNoise AI yesterday, now it no longer works as a plugin to Photoshop 2020 CC.
