She cut my hair interestingly - similar to the Deva method, but she kinda tweaked it a bit.

:P) She asked if I used the Deva products, and I said no, I use Kinky-Curly but she probably hadn't heard of them, which she hadn't, but she said my felt good and healthy so that's good to know. (When she first told me she would cut dry, she kinda said it in a 'don't freak out, but.' tone, and I was like, dude, that's what I want! and she seemed a bit relieved. I told her that I had gotten a good haircut at the Deva salon in New York, where they had actually done the layers properly. We talked a little bit about the Deva method. So she started cutting my hair a bit, and she agreed that my hair was basically one length, except for some layers in the bottom layer in the back (huh I didn't know that), and my hair needed layers. Next, she said that she would start cutting my hair dry, then wash it and cut it wet, then wet it again (with conditioner I think, although I didn't ask), put product in it and dry it, then polish the cut a little more. She also asked me about the length, and I said I wanted to keep my hair as long as possible. I told her the not so great experience at my last haircut, and told her that this time I wanted actual layers. So Claudia sat me down in the chair, and asked me when I got my last haircut and what I wanted with this one. So now I'm going to recount my experience, which will probably be long and very rambly.

Overall it went pretty well, and I'll probably go back, but I'm not sure yet for reasons I will explain later. I will absolutely continue to go to Parasol while we’re out here, and would eagerly recommend Christina to any of my friends.So as you know, I went to the salon today and got my hair cut by Claudia.

Let’s face it – waxing hurts! I can honestly say Christina gives a pretty much pain-free wax! Her facial was amazing, and she gave me some really good advice on products I could use for my skin without pushing any specific products.

I immediately knew Parasol was a perfect fit! Christina in one word is AMAZING! She is extremely professional and knows exactly what she’s doing. You really grow to trust those people in your life, and it’s one of the hardest things about moving to a new city! I had read a couple reviews about Parasol that were all great, and since I live a few blocks away I thought I’d try it out. It’s a while to find a hair stylist you love, an esthetician you love, a nail salon you love, etc. “When I first moved to Palo Alto 3 months ago, I was very nervous about finding all of my go-to beauty and pampering spots. (If there are any left that I haven’t already told!)” I will absolutely continue to go to Parasol while we’re out here, and would eagerly recommend Christina to any of my friends.
